Foundation
After the liberation of Thrace and the creation of the first party Greek Government, Makoulian a know member of the liberation committee and President of eGreece, realised that the only chance for the newly create state to succeed was if its citizens were united. That was already done but a new party was needed to express that even more. So he decided to change the party's name from Greek Government to Ethniko Enotiko Kinima. It wasn't just a change of name but a change in the whole political philosophy of the party. As described in the foundation articled, Ethniko Enotiko Kinima - National Unity Movement, stands for National because it was created to serve the nation, Unity because it wants to house every eGreek, Movement because it was dynamic, it had past, present and future.
Politics
Ethniko Enotiko Kinima continue to be the only party till the Greek community had grown enough. When the first ideas fall for the creation of a 2nd party in eGreece, Ethniko Enotiko Kinima faithful in its democratic values it fully supported that idea. That 2nd party was Greek Independence Party.
