Narodna stranka (in Cyrillic - Народна Странка) was a political party in Montenegro and it was a long-time participant in the political life of the country. At the peak of its activity, in the early history of Montenegro, it was the second-largest party.

Basics of party's history

Narodna stranka took part throughout most of the history of the proud nation of Montenegro. The party was started with an ID 3883 in July 2012, but was soon taken over and in March 2013 was restarted under ID 4316. The 3 of its presidential candidates succeeded in winning the elections and becoming the presiding members of the country's society.

Orientation and ideology

For most of its history, Narodna stranka was a right-winged party with an Authoritarian ideology but that changed in 2017 when the leaders opted for a more moderate approach. Since then, Narodna stranka is a Libertarian party with a center-right orientation.

The party founders were keen on keeping a very close relationship with Serbia with whom Montenegro shared strong mutual friendship both in Real Life and the New World, especially with Akcioni pokret party.
