On January 16th 2010 he created Enotna Slovenija, a new party, a direct successor of Nacionalna Stranka Slovenije. This was done as there was only one party in Slovenia at the time due to previous Croatian occupation. He left the party after it was the subject of a Croatian congress takeover attempt and got depleted.
His next political party of choice was Stranka za Napredek in Razvoj, although he wasn't actively involved in party politics.
In mid-October he moved to New Zealand with other Slovenian players to start fresh and try to get into congress. He succeeded, as he was elected in Wellington with 12 votes. He ran for congress in Free New Zealand, a Serbian party. Soon after, the president of the party resigned and Sigmundsg became party president. He changed the name to Aotearoa and was in the presidential seat until the elections.
