Just a question, could country borders be also added? Not region borders, but just country borders. -- Mikhail Alexander 17:48, 3 September 2011 (PDT)
Automatic updates
The new regions-listing table now updates automatically, thanks to sampo555's help.
What does this mean for editors?
Regions will no longer have to be manually added or removed from lists any longer. This list covers both original and conquered regions.
How does this template work?
The template still requires users to input a country's original regions, but the country the template is making a list for does not have to be named: the template assumes the original owner of the first region typed in is the country a list should be made for.
What changes do we have to make?
Except for one small change, nothing really, since the code remains about the same. For country pages that already use RegionsTables, please just prefix the last original region listed with "last=", so
{{RegionsTable|Northern Netherlands|Southern Netherlands|Western Netherlands|Eastern Netherlands|showprod=1}}
- becomes
{{RegionsTable|Northern Netherlands|Southern Netherlands|Western Netherlands|last=Eastern Netherlands|showprod=1}}
And also remove the "Conquered Regions" sections from Wiki pages, since they're no longer necessary.

- Some other features that I'd like to note:
Option for two columns
Could you possibly add a |columns=2| option to the template, to allow the list to display in two side-by-side blocks?

It might be tricky, but it'd be damned useful for the longer lists. Cheers • John F. Baker (Talk | Contribs) • 13:45, 28 November 2011 (PST)
