Short history
Short summaries of it's history.
Foundation and growth
It was on day 1999 that tommot bought the former unit of Val3s OBrien with the intend of experimenting with unexplored parts of eRepublik. It is on day 2000 that tommot renamed that unit into Olympus Belgica and gave it a new logo and description. In November 2013(at the same time as the party president election) e Vladimir was elected as the first captain this unit has seen at that point and is still serving as captain in this MU. In the first day's of January 2014 his members started to leave(as it was agreed upon to stay only temporary) and it's leader and founder was all that remained. Because of the changes in the division system on day 2282, the restriction of division 4 players only has been removed(this requirement was not an in-game setting).
Revisions and present
For some time certain individual eBelgian players have been looking for an alternative to the BNA or it's privateer counterpart Green Militia. Up until then there was no specific plan. On day 2280/2283 preparations where made to found a new unit and as a trusted friend to the founders the current commander and founder of this MU was included in these matters. At one point he even offered his MU as the platform for this new Belgian fighting force. In the end and after much talk and voting, Olympus Belgica was chosen and could even retain it's name, with a small grammar adjustment, which became Olympus Belgicae.
The day of foundation of this renewed unit is day 2296.
It is around day 2394 - day 2397 that a member of the revised OB left the unit for the first time. This was Nova.Navid. On day 2398(14 June 2014) tommot Resigned as commander of this unit with the intend to step back on the current activities of this unit. He will still fight and provide raw materials for the unit. The New commander of Olympus Belgicae was Tony Clifford And Lorgroth who succeeded him as 2° commander.

Communication
There is a wide variety of communication methods available and used.
Internal platforms of communication
- Mass-pm: an already widely used platform for many purposes.
- MU feed: less popular but still more used than other MU's feeds.
- MU chat: The exact date is not known but it is approximated that starting from day 2325 the new MU chat system was made available to this unit, it was an instant success.
External platforms of communication
- IRC chat: currently there is no official irc-channel but many channels of other purposes are also used or can be used for MU matters.
- MU-forum: Just recently, very shortly after the new MU-chat system was put in use there was Teddy beer eBe that introduced our very own MU forum of a similar design as that of the Belgium forum.
