The Filipino Communist Party, (Abbreviated FCP), is a Third Generation Far-Left Political Party in Icon-Philippines.png The Philippines. The party uses communist doctrines as its ideology. The party has not been part of any congress. The original party was formed in February 2012 as the Movement for Military Rule. It was renamed to the Liberal Movement Party in April 2012 and changed to its current name a month after. It was renamed to Partido Komunista ng Pilipinas on May 2013, exactly a year after the party began. It was the smallest political party in the country at their time.

Origins

There have been numerous communist and socialist movements in the Philippines. The first party was the Communist Party - Philippines created by EZEX Lacroa from the National Filipinista Party in July 2009. They supported SyrkiusAFK in the August 2009 Presidential Elections, but lost. It lasted for two months after it was ended by September 2009 after the creation of the birth of the Filipino Labor Party.

Another communist party was created by Comrade Joe in May 2010, the Philippine Communist Party from the Filipino Labor Party, the party that was the Communist Party - Philippines before. The party endorsed Comrade Joe for the June 2010 Presidential Elections, but lost. It was renamed weeks after.

History

The party was formed after the Liberal Movement Party was renamed around May 2012. The party then grew with Arius Raposas, father of the prominent Al Raposas, and Aliana Almazan, mother of Liana Paldrov being active members. On the June 2012 presidential elections, the party endorsed DrummerMike as their candidate, being supported by the Kilusan ng Makabayang Pilipino and the Democratic Party for Progress.
