The Free Press Association is an independant media organisation in the Netherlands.

Media
It is a independant organisation with the purpose of improving the quality and quantity of media in the Netherlands by use of approving and promoting quality articles and rewarding writers for writing good articles.
Newspaper
Its official newspaper is owned by founder Mael Dunbar, it is titled Free Press Association
Government
The association is currently funded by the Netherlands government, upon requesting a subsidy for prize money and writer rewards it recieves a budget.
History
The Free Press Association was founded in January of 2012 by Mael Dunbar.
It began as a private forum on the Netherlands community forum in early January of 2012. Mael Dunbar, the founder of the association invited a number of members to help develop and progress the association.
Zeeuwsmeisje and missingno were made members by Mael Dunbar.
The logo of the association was developed and created by Zeeuwsmeisje.
