About

The not so news, news is a little experiment that I‘ll be working on. The exact date for the start of this project has not yet been determined. However, the little that I can disclose is that it will involve issues of non-importance and even lesser urgency

Give me my PRESTIGE

Correct me if I’m wrong, but one of the options the game-masters should have implemented is an accumulated ranking of prestige points. We get the total points per challenge, which in my impression goes into oblivion at the end of each challenge never to be seen again. Now, we’ve been at these challenges for as long as I can remember and it would sure be nice to know our compiled prestige in comparison to others in our MU or even nationally and/or internationally.

It’s all fine and dandy to receive the accolades that each hurdle offers for its challenges. Surely, a positive incentive to keep us active and be rewarded for it. But, after the 7 days it wraps up and we start over again with a new competition.

Grandeur prizes may be awarded to citizens who reach a milestone for collected prestige points, i.e.: gold- bars, weapons, food, etc…Furthermore, how about an ultimate praise in status for reaching a coveted milestone; glorified with a certain eRepublik in-game standing or special rank. Following are a few of many real life elite units, “US Navy SEAL”, “British SAS”, “Huntsmen Corps: Danish Special Forces”, “French Special Forces”, “Shayetet 13 (Israeli Special Forces)”.

Just a thought, your feedback is much appreciated.

Thanks josh

Time Uselessly Spent Sharing My Thoughts

My achievements up to date regarding the war module include “Mercenary”. Possibly the least humanitarian of the bunch “A person who takes part in an armed conflict, who is not a national or a party to the conflict and is motivated to take part in the hostilities by the desire for private gain.” My booty for this 50 eNation adventure was five bouillon; not sure if my partaking was a gain or loss financially speaking, though, truly honored in receiving the Mercenary medal.

Continuing with what is surely every soldier’s ambition “Battle Hero”. A short meaning, “Character(s) who, in the face of danger and adversity or from a position of weakness, display courage and the will for self-sacrifice, heroism for the greater good of all humanity”. Eight soldiers with the highest influence in their division are awarded this medal. In my case being a soldier in division II got me 3 gold.

A doozy of an achievement the “True Patriot” medal starts off pretty straightforward. Though, becomes insurmountable as your damage increase. Very proud to have shown my cultural attachment to my homeland six times and counting. I’m currently at 5,139,684 damage; my seventh medal will be at 10,000,000. Long time to wait for five gold pieces.

Next is the “Freedom Fighter” medal “A person engaged in a resistance movement against what they believe to be an oppressive and illegitimate government.” Get this medal after defeating a certain amount of enemies in a resistance war. I’ve received two of these medals (ten Gold) by defeating 225 enemies in 6 resistance wars.

Not really a part of the war module, nonetheless, a very helpful edge in becoming a “Super Soldier”, furthermore, one of my favorite achievements. A little clarification as to what this achievement encompasses (best I could do), “A concept soldier, often fictional, capable of operating beyond normal human limits or abilities”. A training effect of +20 will get you to 250 rather quickly, approx.: two weeks. A nice way to make an easy five Gold.

Let’s have a gander at my limited political assignment, “Congress Member” achievement. What’s a congress member, you ask? “A person who has been appointed or elected and inducted into some official body, typically to represent a particular constituency”. In my case I was elected twice and earned 5 Gold each time elected. A great way to stay abreast of the current issues in your region, and furthering your knowledge of the game.

And lastly but not least, the daily drudge of the “Hard Worker” achievement (Another one of my favorites). “One who is industrious and diligent in carrying out tasks or duties”, LOL! Work for thirty days either in one or more of your companies or as an employee for someone else (Daily paycheck for the latter) and receive 5 Gold. Pretty straight forward.

In regards to the remaining achievements, “Top Fighter”, “Society Builder”, “Resistance Hero”, “Campaign Hero”, “Media Mogul” and finally “Country President” I’d have to say that I’m light years away from obtaining these tributes and the spoils that accompany them. But, optimistic in one-day writing a little paragraph for each medal.
