The New Green Party (NGP) was a political party in 
Singapore. Since its establishment, it became the second largest political party and it was competing with Singapore Republican Party for the place of the largest national party[1].
History
NGP was started as a merger between The Singapore Green Party (SGP) and Achievers of Perfect Singapore.
NGP became the first party that successfully elected 5 presidential candidates in a row, between January 2010 and June 2010. An interesting fact is that all 5 Presidents were different citizens; nobody was reelected.
