The Second ONE invasion of France is a current military action conducted by ONE forces against the country of France. The conflict is the second time that ONE forces have invaded France since the beginning of World War V.
ONE's objective is to remove any threat from France in Western Europe and produce a corridor of advance to attack other Terra allies in the Americas.
Background
France had been previously occupied by ONE forces after the first ONE invasion of France, but as Terra and EDEN forces began a successful series of counter-attacks during World War V the country of France had been liberated in the interim between invasions.
During this time ONE had been dealt a number of setbacks in the Balkans, Baltic, and Americas. The Terra and EDEN counter-attack focused upon liberating a number of regions that had fallen to ONE control during the Fourth Balkan War, ONE invasions of Bulgaria and Romania, and the Brazil-Spain War.
Terra and EDEN also began a number of invasions to mitigate ONE's power in a number of theaters of the Fifth World War, in particular, the Serbia-Russia War, EDEN invasion of Serbia, and temporarily during the Second Baltic War and USA-Spain War. However, the joint alliance failed to capitalize on their advancements, eventually resulting in failing to completely conquer Serbia, and only partially conquering Sweden. In both conflicts ONE forces were ultimately able to repel the invasions and eventually begin a much larger second offensive against its enemies.
Second Offensive
As ONE began to secure its position in the Balkans and the Baltic, it returned its attention back towards France. The ultimate goal of ONE was to find a viable corridor of attack against American Terra member-states, particularly the USA and Brazil. To this end they attempted to broker a deal with France. Being a loyal member of Terra and a firm USA ally, France rejected any such proposals. In addition, France had long standing animosity toward Hungary, Spain, and the Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) and would not concede to any associated forces in their sovereign territory.
ONE citizens themselves were not unanimously in favor of a second invasion. In particular, Polish citizens were split on the question of invasion. However, on June 8, 2011 a natural enemy declaration against France was successfully passed in Poland and another in Hungary shortly thereafter.
France vowed to hold back what appeared to be an overwhelming onslaught and Terra began mobilizing for yet another bloody defense in Western Europe.
Poland spearheaded the assault with an attack upon Lorraine, officially beginning another ONE invasion of France on June 8, 2011.
