Hrvatska Partija was established in December 2008 by Couvert as one of 4 Croatian parties established at that time. In first elections for Croatian Congress, party managed to win 3 places in it and become third party by the Congress seats.

Most articles about this party was published in party presidents newspapers dalmatinski list. Also, organization Hrvatska Partija was official organization of the party.

Less than one month later, the running comitee, on a party meeting, decided that the party will be renamed to Hrvatska Stranka Radnika and become new era of only Far-Left party in Croatia at that time.
