hcmadman joined eRepublik in 2010 and played for roughly a year, then took a long break from the game. He came out of his eComa on day 4263.
During his initial time in the game hcmadman took part in several ATO efforts, the first being around game day 990 when Croatia had been wiped. At the time game mechanics allowed anyone who moved to a country after it had been wiped to claim citizenship until a new congress was seated, it was feared that many Serbian agents would capitalize on this and PTO Croatia. Several hundred citizens of the USA volunteered to protect croatia from this fate, and moved to Croatia for a couple of months until the situation settled down.
However the efforts to recruit volunteers for this effort were fragmented and several people did not make it on the official lists, hcmadman was one of these unfortunate players. He sat for months waiting for citizenship, but to no avail.
Eventually he heard about another ATO operation, this time New Zealand was being added to the game, hcmadman moved to Auckland and gained NZ citizenship. Becoming involved with the Kiwi Social Democrats, one of the two ATO parties set up by eUS volunteers, he began to network with a few people who were shocked by his fortunes from his last ATO.
After spending several months in NZ, some drama broke out surrounding the NZ treasury and the eUS ATO volunteers quickly found themselves in a hostile environment. Most of them returned to the US, and with the help of Fionia hcmadman was able to regain US citizenship and come home.
Upon his return to the US, hcmadman spent his time in various parties, mostly USWP, but also the Libertarian Party. During the eRepublik Rising time frame hcmadman became disillusioned with the game after features would be added and taken away weekly, sometimes daily. His visits became sporadic after this and eventually stopped altogether, he essentially forgot the game existed from 2012-2019.
Since his return to the game in late July 2019, hcmadman has become very active with the SFP, serving in positions within the party as well as being a congress member. He started the Mississippi Mud Chronicle in August 2019.
Ran for president of the 
USA in November of 2019, received 23% of the vote in a heavily contested election.
Hcmadman became SFP party president in December 2019.
