Bill Brasky was a citizen of the USA.

Early Life

Bill Brasky was born on day 354 of the New World, in the state of Missouri. He remained anonymous for the first month of his life, two-clicking, and being lonely in general. He joined the Federalist Party as soon as he could. Contrary to popular belief, he joined because he liked the logo and his real-life political views loosely fit with the party's in-game description. He was quiet there as well, not even signing up for their forums.

After another month of anonymity, he broke his silence by signing up for the Federalist Party forums. He lurked there for a few weeks, making minor comments on various threads. Finally, he decided to take some initiative, and contacted then Party President, Alby about the opening as the Federalist Welcoming Chairman.

Getting Active

Starting with that first position, Bill then started joining everything he could in order to get involved. He applied to the Department of Education under Tiacha, and joined the Army as well. He then applied for Congress (after much hesitation) for the February elections. He was selected as one of the candidates, beating out the ever-bitter Dillon Smith for the honor. He ran under the AAP against the veteran citizens Killing Time and Jason Heulings. It was an exciting election, going down to the wire, with both Killing Time and Brasky gaining multiple last minute votes. The final total was 11-9-1.

Congressional Runs

Bill Brasky has been elected to the USA Congress 7 times, all consecutive, with 5 in Mississippi, and once in Missouri.

His first election, (Feb. '09) he defeated a favored Killing Time, as well as Jason Heulings. The final vote total was:

His second election, (March '09) Brasky was favored, earning his first ICCCR recommendation. He defeated Time. The final vote was:

  • Bill Brasky - 9
  • Time - 1

His third election, (April '09) Brasky was favored again, receiving the ICCCR recommendation. He defeated Jay Garcia. The final vote was:

  • Bill Brasky - 5
  • Jay Garcia - 2

His fourth election, (May '09) Brasky received the ICCCR recommendation. He defeated Jay Garcia, Citizen Timinator, and Polarisman. The final vote was:

  • Bill Brasky - 6
  • Citizen Timinator - 2
  • Polarisman - 1
  • Jay Garcia - 0

In his 5th election (June '09) Brasky was favored and won with four votes to two.

His 6th consecutive election, (July '09) Bill Brasky left Mississippi for his RL home state of Missouri. It was a close race with many contestants, however Brasky won handily with 4 votes.

His 7th consecutive election, (August '09) he left his home state of Missouri after it was taken by Russia. He was nominated by the UIP for one of the Congressional positions in the crowded Florida. In a very tight race between himself, Gobucks, and Cujo Mayo Bill Brasky won the #1 wildcard spot over GoBucks (based on XP) with 133 votes. Cujo Mayo was left out of the wildcards and congress, with 132 votes.

Citizen Mentorship Program

Bill Brasky's pride and joy was the Citizen Mentorship Program, which he proposed to the Department of Education and Welcoming Committee shortly after joining the DoE. The CMP pairs older players with new USA citizens in order to increase retention of new players by lowering the steep learning curve of eRepublik.

Originally, the program started with 18 mentors, with Gobucks in charge of the program. After roughly 2 weeks, Brasky came back to the program, and found mentors not doing their jobs, a long list of unassisted players. He then took over the program by himself and ran the program by himself for roughly a month. He mentored over 300 players for that month, and recently inducted 30 new mentors to help him with load. Over 1500 players are currently being mentored, with multiple mentees going on to great success, including Congressmen, business owners, and military leaders.

Bill Brasky is no longer involved in the Citizen Mentorship Program, citing the increased drama and politicizing of the Secretary of Education position as his reason for leaving the political spectrum.
