In 2023, the Congressional elections take place on the 25th day of each month and the Congress is inaugurated two days later, on the 27th of each month. Citizens vote for national party lists instead of individual candidates.

In March 2023, Ukraine had 15 regions under its control which meant that a maximum of 40 Congress members could be elected to the Congress. All 40 were elected.
