Lesser Sunda Islands is a region in Indonesia and its capital is Mataram.

Geography
The region consists of islands of Bali, Lombok, Sumbawa, Flores, Sumba, and Timor, among others. Lesser Sunda Islands borders Australia to the south, making it an important region in the war against Australia, along with Java and Papua.
Lesser Sunda Islands is neighbored by the following regions:

- Australia, Northern Territory
