The SFP Bear Cavalry is the paramilitary organization of the Socialist Freedom Party. It was commissioned on August 18, 2009 by SFP Party President Mark Valshannar in order to organize resistance wars against occupying PEACE GC nations in the United States of America. It was later revived by Lysander Spooner II. It is unique among militas for its refusal of government funds.

The Bear Cavalry was formed as a direct reaction to the occupation of most of America during World War III by PEACE. It's debut battle was in a Kansas resistance war were Beig. Cmdr. Phoenix Quinn earned a Resistance hero achievement. The BC also established itself as a force for anti-imperialism in eRepublik early on. It join several other militias from far-left political parties in the International Red Army to liberate a high resource region in Russia, occupied by Indonesia. The effort failed but the statement had been made.
During World War IV the Bear Cavalry focused further on anti-imperialist fights. It deployed in South Korea, Bolivia, and Germany, to name a few.
