The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile (Spanish: Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores), also known as MoFA, is the ministry that helps form the foreign policy of Chile. The foreign minister is often regarded as the most senior ministerial position below that of the head of government.
Objectives
- Coordinate the activities of ministries and public agencies in matters affecting foreign policy.
- Intervene in everything related to the determination and demarcation of borders and boundaries of the country as well as in matters that affect their border areas.
Communication
The MoFA currently holds an open channel IRC chat room in Rizon at #eChile.MoFA. It also has an eRepublik newspaper called Cancilleria de eChile.
