Royal Naval Reserve was established as a low-activity non-IRC branch within the British Armed Forces. It's first commander-in-chief was Rear Admiral Simon Hind.
Command Organization
- Commander-in-Chief Fleet: Rear Admiral Simon Hind
- Commanding Officer, HMS George Norfolk: Captain Michael Crookes
Ranks of the RNR
The RNR follows the same rank structure as the regular Royal Navy, with the exception of using the rank of Ordinary Rate (ORD) for all sailors, and not employing the rank of Leading Rate (LR) for more active sailors, who are instead transferred to the regular Navy.
Past Commanding Officers
- Rear Admiral Simon Hind
