Welcome to eRepublik Official Wiki! We hope your contributions will help the Wiki grow in quality and content. One of the best places to start is with your own autobiography, or citizen page. To start, we have created this helpful tutorial that will show you some of the wiki basics: CPT.
Again, welcome and have fun! Admin 09:46, 12 March 2009 (UTC)
Thank you for your contributions to eRepublik Official Wiki. In the future, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made, reduces edit conflicts, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the article will look like without actually saving it.
It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, you can either write on the Bar or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Thanks! --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 05:51, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
Sorry! I was suppose to copy the format of his signature. I accidentally editted his and save it in the end. Sorry for that. I was not on my mind lately. Sorry.
Categories & Links
When you make pages without templates, make sure you manually add a category. It is really easy, for example, just type [[Category:Philippines]]. Also, It is important that pages are linked to other ones in the wiki. This page Prices in the Philippine Market is not linked to any other pages in the wiki and no other pages are linked to it. This makes it lonely. And we don't want sad and lonely pages, now do we? ;). Let me know if you have any questions. --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 14:31, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
- Read this to figure out how to do your signature. It has been so long since I did mine, I don't remember :) --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 14:46, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
See Also Sections
Hi. You are doing some really good work. However, I have noticed something... You don't need "See Also" sections in the wiki. By its very nature, the links in the article are enough. Also, since you are putting the large Philippines template at the bottom of every page, you are essentially putting the same links on the page twice. One of the most important rules of the wiki is this "KISS" there is no reason to be overly elaborate or complicated. Stick to what is truly needed on a page and move on to something else. --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 18:38, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
Hi. I removed the logo you used for the top of the page Department of Foreign Affairs. As it was taken from the the image might be copyrighted and against the wiki policies for use. Using RL logos like this also gives the false idea that somehow eRepublik is sanctioned by the government which is not true. I know you want to make realistic pages, but remember, we have to be very careful about what things from real life get brought in. Thanks for understanding and let me know if you have any questions. --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 13:40, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
Special:UncategorizedPages Please review this page. It has several pages on the Philippines that you have created. All of these pages need to have a category. Please, as soon as possible add [[Category:Philippines]] to each the pages that need them. Thanks! --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 13:52, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
We have strict rules about changing the "common templates" Help:Common_templates#Changing.2FCreating_Templates We also have an ongoing discussion about changing templates here: eRepublik:Bar/Debate_9. Also, please remember to sign your comments. --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 13:34, 21 July 2009 (UTC)
Starting pages with "The"
It really isn't a good idea to start pages out with the word "The" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(definite_and_indefinite_articles_at_beginning_of_name). It means all of the pages are listed under the Letter "T". I would suggest:
- First Congress of Philippines, Second Congress of Philippines
- First Philippine Congress, Second Philippine Congress etc
- 1st Philippine Congress, 2nd Philippine Congress, etc
- Congress of Philippines - 1st, Congress of e Philippines - 2nd
User:Prince Terence I/Philippines' Personae Non Gratae List This page has been moved out of the main space. Publishing a list such as this is against the rules of eRepublik - specifically not oppressing other citizens. I will not allow a black list of perceived insults or a grudge list to be in the wiki. --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 11:47, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
Federal Republic of South East Asia;
The changes you made in regards to Federal Republic of South East Asia were against the advice and direction given in the Bar. We do not recognize name changes in the wiki because they do not happen in the game. Please fix pages accordingly. --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 13:51, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
Hi! I moved pages Portal:Main Page/Punong Katayuan and Main_Page/Filipino to your sandbox(and made typo while moving the first one, stupid me :|) as Filipino isn't an official language yet. As QJ said: "All new langauge pages should be done in a sandbox until the required amount of pages have been created for the language to be added." Thank you for understanding!-- Kuhaa|sTalk

Hello. This (Template:Philippine Taxes) should not be a template. It should be a table on the country page. When you create this information in a template, it means very few people can update it. Which is a bad idea for something like taxes. Please move the information to the appropriate page so that it can be deleted from the Template name space. --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 21:30, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
Deleting / updating
Dear Prince, I have a question for you (nothing dangerous!): On your last update you have removed several parts of the article as a part of your regular update including: Sabah was annexed by the Philippines in January 2, 2010 as part of Malaysia's defense tactics against Indonesia. Sabah has a medium oil and wood industry. As this is historical fact (Sabah was probably annexed and now was, I guess, liberated ) did you add this fact to the Phillipines history? You see, I believe that this small historical facts, when you remove them, you should add them somewhere to be remembered as they can't be changed. What do you think about it?--AndyCro Click here to talk with me baby! ;) 13:35, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
- I was going to update the History of the Philippines later. I deleted it in the Philippine page, but I was up to adding the liberation of Sabah after I am done with Sol pages. :D--• • <font-color="amber">Prince Terence II</font> <font-color="#000000">Mabuhay ang Pilipinas! • • </font> 13:39, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
