Naming conventions

Defunct Alliances

  • "PEACE", "PEACE GC" or "PEACEgc", "PEACE Global Community", and "the Global Community" are accepted ways to refer to the alliance known as the "PEACE Global Community". Unaccepted forms include "P.E.A.C.E.", "the GC", or other variants not listed.

  • "ATLANTIS" or, if you're a pedant, "Atlantic Treaty of Latin, American, and Nordic Territories for International Security" are accepted ways to refer to ATLANTIS. "A.T.L.A.N.T.I.S." shouldn't be accepted (it's a backronym anyway).
  • "Phoenix" is the only accepted way to refer to Phoenix. PHOENIX is not correct.

Beta Alliances

  • Beta alliances should be listed in long form if they're just two words (Mediterranean Alliance, Northern Alliance) or as their abbreviations otherwise (PANAM, FIST)
