2008 was a year where drastic changes to the Congress elections were done. Until October, elections were held on the 1st of every month together with the Presidential elections as part of the general elections (in Canada also known as Federal elections), and the newly elected Congress members would take their seats one day later, on the 2nd of every month.
October was the only month in the New World when two Congress elections were held; the first October elections were held on day 316 (1 October 2008) as the last general elections during the Beta version and the second October elections were held on day 340 (25 October 2008) as the first Congress elections in the V1.
Since then, elections have been held on the 25th of each month as separate elections, and the newly elected Congress members would take their seats one day later, on the 26th of every month.
