The True Voice of Reason was started as the Frontline Historian on 8 May 2008 by Chris Stanwick. Originally intended to contain articles on real life military history, the format was changed by the end of May when Chris announced his run for Congress. From then on, he focused on articles dealing with the United Independents Party and his political career. After the Great War of 2009 started, the paper was used as a public notice to make citizens aware of the daily military orders and moving ticket program. During the war, the popularity and importance of the True Voice of Reason grew, reaching 1000 subscriptions in the first week of August 2009. The highest subscription rate occurred on Day 632, at which time 1039 players were subscribed to The True Voice of Reason. Since that day, subscription has declined.
Following Chris's move to Australia and campaign for the Australian Congress, the True Voice of Reason began to feature articles about game mechanics. The paper is currently published in Belgium, having previously been published in Ireland, Australia, Thailand, and the United States.

The Original First Article
Published here for posterity as the first article has become a testing ground for new articles.
Breaching a New Dawn
The dawn of a new day; the sun rising over the horizon, casting its rays across the quiet, peaceful landscape. A landscape strewn in the death and destruction it met just days before. Bodies posed unnaturally, their faces hideously displaying the last agonizing moments of life on the battlefield. Tanks and artillery pieces abandoned on the field where their crews perished. The quiet rustling of wings as thousands of carrion birds attack the bloated corpses. But beyond the decay is glory. The glory of the fight. The glory of an honorable death at the hands of those wanting to change your way of life. The glory of war.
The Frontline Historian is a newspaper dedicated to glorifying the history of wars, battles, and soldiers. Every article will feature some aspect of military history in a concise, but explanatory method to interest readers. We will take you into the heart of battle, to the front line. Expect more; expect glory!
