The Argentine Armed Forces, (in Spanish Fuerzas Armadas Argentinas, abr. FFAA), were controlled by the Commander-in-Chief (the President), the Minister of Defense (one of the Generals of the Fuerzas Armadas Argentinas) and with the assistance of the joint staff of Generals of the Fuerzas Armadas Argentinas.
The FFAA was transformed in May 2011 in a military in-game unit with an official name Fuerzas Armadas Argentinas.
Following is the history of the old Argentine Armed Forces, as they were run between 2008 and 2011.
Structure
The Argentine military was born in August 2008 when Gush was the Minister of Defense. It was later developed by the several ministers in charge, however, notable reconstruction happened in January 2009 when Country President T introduced Model T.
Gush Model
The Model Gush [1], named in honor of its creator, started in August 2008.
It was divided into three parts:
- ENA (Ejército Nacional Argentino; Eng. Argentine National Army)
- STARS (Special Tactics And Rescue Squad)
- GEO (Grupo Especial de Operaciones; Eng. Special Operations Group)
The ENA was furthermore divided into 6 companies: Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Ethan and Fénix.
STARS grouped strong and active players, while GEO was limited to the 10 strongest soldiers in the country.
This model admitted the promotion of soldiers as their strength and activity increased. The company with the lowest rank was Alpha, from where everyone would start.
Model T
The model T [2], named in honor of its creator, began in January 2009 and lasted until the emergence of military units in May 2011. T divided the army into an Academy (Academia) and the ENA (Ejército Nacional Argentino; Eng. Argentine National Army).
The army was organized as follows:
- Academy
- Argentine National Army
- Rotorian Guard
- Regular Army
- Puma
- Jaguar
- Yacaré
- Cobra
- Halcón
- Cóndor
- Mobile Group
- Leviatán
- Fénix
Academy
The Academy is responsible for preparing the newly enlisted soldiers to serve properly, for which they are assigned with a group of trainers who internally have the rank of Sergeants.
Argentine National Army
Graduates of the Academy are promoted to the ANN (Argentine National Army). Once there, they have to choose to be in one of its 3 bodies:
- Rotorian Guard - Low availability. Regiments of 20 soldiers listed as maxhit or maximum damage.
- Regular Army - Average availability. This body has 6 divisions with a constant number of soldiers.
- Mobile Group - High availability. Only two divisions for this body and extra requirements.
