History

German Speaking Switzerland was taken over by France as a result of the France-Switzerland War in early May 2008. It was returned to Switzerland in December 2008. On 20th July 2009 (day 608 of the New World) the region was renamed from German Speaking Switzerland to Deutschschweiz, due the fact that mostly its citizens speak in German. The Swiss Independence War also started in this region.

Deutschschweiz was later taken by Slovenia for its iron when Slovenia invaded Switzerland and Italy in 2010. Since then, it has been occupied by Slovenia for a majority of eHistory.

From 3rd April 2018 it is one of Switzerlands' regions.

There are only two mayors recorded in Deutschschweiz history, and they include FelixKrull of the Independants d'E-Republik from August 2008 and Dorovesky of the Schweizerische Volkspartei from September 2008.
