Deutschschweiz is an original region of Switzerland, but it is currently owned by the United States. Bern is the capital of the region.

History
German Speaking Switzerland was taken over by France as a result of the France-Switzerland War in early May 2008. It was returned to Switzerland in December 2008. On 20th July 2009 (day 608 of the New World) the region was renamed from German Speaking Switzerland to Deutschschweiz. The Swiss Independence War also started in this region.
Deutschschweiz was later taken by Slovenia for it's iron when Slovenia invaded Switzerland and Italy.
