Congressional elections in 2009 were held on the 25th of each month. Citizens voted for individual Congress candidates on a regional party list.

Unfortunately, not a lot of data is known from this period due to the in-game change of the political module which lost a lot of stored data.

January - July

Data has been lost.

August, September

Thailand and Malaysia merged into the Federal Republic of South East Asia on August 3rd in order for Thailand to avoid a PTO. During this period, no Congress elections were held in Thailand.

Thailand regained its full Independence on November 1st, having freed one region a couple of days before, enough to hold the October elections.

October

A group of Indonesians took the chance to migrate and PTO the country with their party, the Thai-Girl Party.

A group of Indonesians made the most successful PTO attempt with the Thai-Girl Party, winning the majority in the Congress and taking over the Jedi Party.
