Welcome to eRepublik Official Wiki!
The Wiki depends on quality contributions from users like you! Here are some things to remember:

  • Before creating a page, become familiar with the wiki format, templates, and other wiki specific items found here.
  • The wiki has a set of policies that must be followed: Policies
  • Pages that do not conform to wiki standards will be removed from the system in one week, so make sure you check back on new pages.
  • One of the best places to start is with your own autobiography, or citizen page. To start, we have created this helpful tutorial that will show you some of the wiki basics: eRepublik:Citizen Page Tutorial.

And remember, if you ever need any assistance, check out the sidebar on the left for help with Editing, Policies, or Templates. Again, welcome and have fun! "Gucio «Talk»" 06:45, 30 March 2013 (PDT)

User avatar naming

Hello Gyantse, it is great to see an active editor who updates different articles. I would like to point out that we have new naming policy for user avatars. They should be named like citizenNUMBER. I have corrected the one that you uploaded for Franckie, so have this on mind in the future. :) I wish you great editing. --AndyCro Icon-Croatia.png Do you need assistance? Templates

@Gyantse: I have been told that you would like some templates implemented. I have noticed that you already made the space in your userspace, and to assist you here are some examples for inspiration:

Feel free to copy the source in one of them and experiment in your userspace and just ping me when you finish and I will implement your templates. --AndyCro Icon-Croatia.png Do you need assistance? Then ask me! ;)) 14:56, 16 May 2017 (PDT)

@Andycro: User:Gyantse/Sandbox. Like this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gyantse (talkcontribs) 10:53, 24 May 2017 (PDT)
@Gyantse: Exactly like that. Templates have been implemented and you can use them by simply choosing: {{Military Units of Belgium}} or {{Military Units of Switzerland}} according which one you need. --AndyCro Icon-Croatia.png Do you need assistance? Then ask me! ;)) 19:57, 24 May 2017 (PDT)

Avatar uploading

@Andycro: I have some problems uploading avatars. I get this message: " File extension ".jpg" does not match the detected MIME type of the file (image/png)" sometimes, however i upload .jpg if file is jpg and .png if file is png.

PS "https://wiki.erepublik.com/index.php/Template:Medals" , here is not yet added SH medal.

@Gyantse: Sorry for the slow answer. It is strange the error, it should work normally for all classic pic files (jpg, jpeg, png...), maybe you could screenshot it? Or upload the pic is question somewhere and give me the link to check the pic? On PS note, SH is added to the code and it will be shown if you write Sky Hero=number, however the documentation was not updated. Will update the documentation in the next couple of days. --AndyCro Icon-Croatia.png Do you need assistance? Then ask me! ;)) 14:19, 4 August 2017 (PDT)
@Andycro: It looks that when I want to save pic that is png and I save it as jpg or vice versa I get that error. But when I save png or jpg as original file, it uploads it without any problem.

I saw some avatars have both jpg and png versions of files, but I try to keep it as one file.

How do you save it in other format? If you are just clicking save as, it is not correct. Did you try to use Microsoft paint option save as? That one sometimes does the trick and it is the simplest one, or maybe you can try one of the free online tools to do it? --AndyCro Icon-Croatia.png Do you need assistance? Military campaigns

Hello,

You have updated a new version of File:Military Campaigns.png, which is actually meant to be screenshot of the homepage section; I'd say you were actually looking for File:Military campaigns.png, which is screenshot of the wars page. There is a naming confusion between the two files which I'll be solving now. In any case, I wanted to explain why I undid your upload. Also, if you want to update localised version, please add language name at the end, as per image naming policy.

If you have any questions, just poke me. --Icon-Montenegro.png BogiTalk 11:19, 30 January 2019 (PST)

Thanks. Got notified by Jimkats as well about the mistake. I tried to undo the update but it somehow didnt go through. Gyantse (talk) 11:29, 30 January 2019 (PST)
Yeah, I saw it after writing you a message. Actually you did revert it, I just deleted that version and uploaded new image with the new shiny buttons. --Icon-Montenegro.png BogiTalk 11:38, 30 January 2019 (PST)

Deletion

Hi!

When you change file name and a redirect from the old name is created, you don't need to mark it for deletion, Andy and I usually check Special:RecentChanges and delete these (more often Andy than I to be honest ). If you still need to nominate page for deletion (in case of a duplicate or for another reason), simply add {{SUBST:Deletion|reason}} at the top of the page and it will get either speedy deleted or left for a discussion for a while, depending on the reason. What I wrote in the bar is basically just for archiving discussions, which are not needed in cases such as redirect suppression. --Icon-Montenegro.png BogiTalk 08:27, 6 February 2019 (PST)

Ok. Gyantse (talk) 11:58, 6 February 2019 (PST)
Hey! When proposing files for deletion on bases of being a duplicate, could you also add name of the duplicated file in the reason field? Thanks. --Icon-Montenegro.png BogiTalk 06:33, 8 March 2019 (PST)
