Bulgarian National Bank (abbr. BNB) is the National Bank of Bulgaria. It is a government-run organization that acts as a treasury and serves as a depository.

Through the bank, Governor regulates the currency and monitors the monetary market, as well as finances other government organisations. It is not a commercial or consumer bank, nor is it an industrial bank.

History

It was established in August 2008 on a proposal by KARDAM2008 during the presidency of Krembo.

Mission

The aims of the Bulgarian National Bank are:

  • regulate exchange rates
  • provide the financial resources needed for the different social and health activities
  • provide the financial resources needed for the different projects concerning our national defense
