EFree State Credit Union
|
The eFree State Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial institution established to foster small state development through the issuance of small business and personal loans and other financial services geared toward the citizens of smaller states.
Origins
The eFree State Credit Union (or FSCU) was founded on Day 600 by small-state advocate Rex Object, who also made the initial deposits (totaling 10 gold) into the FSCU's operating budget; Mr. Object also provided the organizing fee of 5 gold. The creation of the FSCU was announced the same day in the eFree State Report, with the caveat that the organization was still in the forumlative stages.
Status
The FSCU is currently in development, and is not soliciting donations or accepting applications at this time. It is anticipated that the first service the FSCU will offer is small (<10 gold) loans to prospective business owners seeking to base their company in a state outside the traditional population centers.
