eRepublik Gold is a fictional currency used in the eRepublik World. It is the main reference point for all the local virtual currencies (examples: USD, PTE) and it is used to buy additional features (such as companies) within eRepublik.

How to get gold

There are different ways to get Gold.

1. Buy Gold once a week (in packs of 3 Euro/5 Gold(also with SMS), 10 Euro/20 Gold, 25 Euro/40 Gold or 60 Euro/80 Gold)
2. If a Citizen that registered after V1 reaches level 6, he/she will receive 5 gold by default. The Citizen who invited him (if any) also receives 5 Gold.
3. Starting with level 16 you receive an increasing amount of Gold (from 5 Gold to 20 Gold) for every experience level advancement (see level).
4. Buy it on the monetary market in exchange for local currencies.
5. Every time you receive an achievement, you will also gain 5 Gold. Any type of achievement can be rewarded multiple times.

Using Gold

A number of actions require Gold.

Political

1. Creating a political party (cost: 40 Gold)
2. Nominating yourself for party President elections (cost: 2 Gold)
3. The issue money law (cost: 1 national currency = 0.005 Gold)

Economical

1. Creating a company (cost: 20 Gold)
2. Buying a company (cost: varies)
3. Buying an export license for your company (cost: 20 or 5 gold)
4. Upgrading your company's production quality (cost: varies, minimum: 20 Gold)

Military

1. Starting an official war (cost: minimum 200 Gold) or a resistance war (cost: minimum 50 Gold)
2. Attacking a region in a war (cost: minimum 50 Gold)
3. Signing an alliance (cost: 100 Gold for each of the two countries)

Other

1. Creating an organization (cost: 5 Gold)
2. Improving your wellness (cost: 2 Gold)
3. Creating a newspaper (cost: 2 Gold)
