The first time Engram tried to get into the Finnish congress was in 2008, December's Congress elections. However, then Engram didn't succeed, but he didn't give up. In January 2009, Engram promoted himself in the media and gained some support. In January Engram was a member of IKP and he was tightly tied into a patriotic way of thinking, which was the main theme of IKP. This time Engram made it to the Congress and started his political career.
After this, Engram got re-elected to Congress in the February's elections. In February Engram was praised to be one of the most active Congressmen in the whole Finnish congress.
Engram succeeded again in the March elections and received large support and got the 2nd largest amount of votes in these elections. This way Engram was most voted person in IKP and Eastern Finland region. Engram resigned from the Congress on 6th of April as a protest against the result of presidential elections. The elections were won by the candidate of a large political coalition against Finland's largest party LEP. It's true that Engram was a member of IKP when this happened, and IKP was included in that mentioned coalition, but Engram decided that the winner simppa was worse candidate than the other candidate Gabriel Lavanche and actually voted for Lavanche who was the candidate that his party was against all the time.
Later, Engram also resigned from IKP and changed to LEP after IKP ruined its reputation and because the leaders of IKP were so corrupted.
In April, Engram was again taking part in the Congress elections, this time as a member of LEP. This time Engram received also a big amount of votes - actually the same amount as in March but this time he was "only" the 3rd if ranked by received votes. In April Engram served in Congress only for 10 days because in May's presidential elections he was elected as The President of Finland.
