The position of the Speaker of the House (abbr. SoH; also referred on the forum as the Speak'r da House) is a government position in the USA. This position is restricted to current US Congress members.
Duties
Speaker of the House serves as a moderator and keeps things running smoothly, ensuring that things are getting done in Congress.
Term
Initially elected Speaker was to serve two consecutive terms, as elections were held every two months. Later, every new Congress term was to elect the new Congress leadership.
