Vigil Vox is a politician in Ukraine.

He is famous for being the first Minister of Foreign Affairs of the independent Ukrainian state after a long period of foreign rule. He also was a President of Ukraine in December, 2009 and one of the three signatories of The Entente declaration and Charter (along with the presidents of France and Italy).

Early days

Vigil Vox was born on the 530 day of the New World in Dnipro, Ukraine, which was at the time occupied by Hungary.

In his first days in the New World Vigil Vox have traveled a lot and have lived for some time in different countries, including Israel, Hungary, Indonesia and United States. He read a lot of press and participated in political and economical discussions trying to learn the inner works of eRepublik society.

After liberation of Ukraine Vigil Vox almost immediately returned to his country. At that time he ran a Q1 weapon company in Ukraine and started to actively participate in political discussions on Ukrainian forums. He was among strong supporters of the first Ukrainian president Danylo Halytskyj.

After being elected, Danylo Halytskyj has appointed Vigil Vox Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and a member of the Economic Council.

Being one of the most active members of United Ukraine (the only Ukrainian party at that time), Vigil Vox was elected to Congress in July, 2009 as a representative for Galicia and Lodomeria.

Minister of Foreign Affairs

When Danylo Halytskyj was forming the first Ukrainian government, he offered Vigil Vox the position of the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Reluctantly at first, Vigil Vox has accepted it. At that time Ukraine was heavily dependent on Hungary in making any foreign policy moves, and minister’s position was relatively simple undertaking. At the first Ukrainian Government Vigil Vox along with then-Prime-minister Vinnie G has set the framework of the Ukrainian civil service. Vigil Vox have founded Ukrainian Foreign Ministry organization and started to publish an official MoFA newspaper called “Diplomacy Today” (now renamed “Diplomacy of eUkraine”). After the general referendum on foreign policy Vigil Vox under orders from Danylo Halytskyj and with his substantial assistance had prepared Ukraine’s admission into PEACE GC military block.
