eRepublik Official Wiki talk:Bar
Welcome to the eRepublik Bar
“ Remember to sign (~~~~) your comments! ”
The Bar is a place in which editors can exchange their ideas, or drink a beer.
After introducing yourself at the Community Portal, you can learn what changes need to be made, see what projects are going underway and take part in many active discussions. You are welcome to start a new discussion, but keep in mind that all articles have their own talk pages, and please remember to sign your comments!
We need editors and translators!
If you are new and don't have any experience with wiki at all - ask for help in the Bar!
Dear editors and translators, we need you to:
- Update Outdated and Stub pages.
- Translators, if you would like to help, check out the Category:Translations or alternatively, if you find an article that doesn't have a translation in your language, feel free to do that.
- Feel free to format non-formatted articles
Economy changes
Due to recent economy changes ([1] and [2]) some stuff on the Wiki might be outdated, so if you catch anything please try to update or post here. Thanks. -- Bogi | Talk 01:38, 16 July 2016 (PDT)
Aircraft Ranks
Currently, clicking on your Aircraft Rank gets you to Military_rank, a page which doesn't include the ranks. Instead, the ranks are written on another page, Aircraft_rank which cannot be easily found as it's not included here Template:SoldierActions/Core nor anywhere else but at the very end of the Aircraft_battle page. I would advise that either the Aircraft Ranks are moved into the Military_rank page as the link from your profile currently goes there. Or that admin changes the link to direct a player to Aircraft_rank, the latter alternative would preferably also mean that Aircraft_rank was added to the Template:SoldierActions/Core. --Lonestar The Brave 05:48, 22 July 2016 (PDT)
- Added Aircraft rank to the template. The developers are aware of the wrong link and it should be fixed. -- Bogi | Talk 06:08, 22 July 2016 (PDT)
Switch to Short URL
Hello everyone, right now we have the following URL format: http://wiki.erepublik.com/index.php/<topic>
In my eyes we should be reconsidering this format and remove the "index.php" via .htaccess (admin/dev is needed for that). Overall the whole url design would look much more professional. You can find more information about this topic at https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Short_URL
Advantages:
- Better SEO
- Shorter Links
- All this results in a better Google Ranking and an easier usage
