The Aegean War was one of the fronts of the Fourth Balkan War, and by extension part of the much later global conflict of World War V.
Prelude
After the last war with Greece, Turkey was conquered. At that time Turkey joined PANAM (later known as Terra) against the wishes of a big part of its population which was pro-ONE. Due to problems with the presidential elections in February and internal conflict Turkey was unable to free itself. On March 11, 2011, Turkey finally left PANAM. In the meantime, Greece decided to rent three of the conquered regions to Romania. Turkey, now with the help with its ONE allies decided to liberate its regions.
Forces
Turkish Forces
While Turkey was not an official ONE member, it received great help from the alliance, especially from Serbia and Hungary. Turkey also received help from Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), another pro-ONE country.
Greek Forces
Greece received help from EDEN, of which Greece is an official member. Bulgaria and Cyprus attacked Turkey directly and helped Greece take the initiative in the war.
The Battle
The war started on March 20, 2011, when the first in a series of resistance wars were started. During the next few days, Turkey managed to free the regions which were rented to Romania. Romania didn't put up much of a fight as it was busy fighting against Hungary. Greece quickly reacted to these events and declared Turkey as a natural enemy in the hopes to conquer it once again.
The Greek campaign, however, proved to be disastrous as Turkey easily regained its regions and attacked mainland Greece. In the meantime, a resistance was started in Southern Cyprus, while Turkey captured Northern Cyprus. Turkey started to conquer Greece's regions one after the other. Several resistance wars were started but most of them failed. Marmara was still in Greek hands which blocked Bulgaria from helping its ally by opening a second front, and Croatia and Romania were both fighting for their last regions at the time.
Turkey finally captured Marmara which allowed Bulgaria to declare them as a natural enemy. While the war between Bulgaria and Turkey was a stalemate, it drained much of Turkey's forces which led to Greece regaining its regions. This, however, didn't continue for long as Serbia, Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) and Hungary attacked Bulgaria and conquered it (see ONE invasion of Bulgaria). With Bulgaria out of the way, the Greek advance was stopped and the war approached a stalemate.
On April 20, 2011, Turkey once again pushed deep in Greek territory, conquering most of its regions. It the meantime, Cyprus attacked Turkey in order to help Greece. Similar to the Bulgarian attack the war between the two countries reached a stalemate, but drained Turkey's forces and helped Greece retake its regions again.
As Greek conquered many of Turkey's regions the governments of the two countries decided to stop the war. Greece returned the conquered regions through a series of direct attacks and resistance wars. Both countries signed peace on May 10, 2011.
Aftermath
After the peace was signed Greece attacked Egypt in order to connect its colonies in Africa with its original territories. Turkey got involved in the Ukraine-Turkey War.
