4th NZ Parliament
The 4th Parliament of New Zealand was in session from January 25 to February 25, 2011. The membership was set by the January 25 parliamentary elections. It did not change radically until the results from the February 25 parliamentary elections came in.
It was controlled throughout its history by an Aotearoa single-party majority. The party had managed to increase its majority by two in the January elections. It was further bolstered by the presence of the Kiwi Social Democrats and the Taranaki Tribe who aligned themselves with Aotearoa following the February Presidential elections.
The "opposition" was effectively reduced to 7 seats, split between the Peace 'n' Prosperity Party and the Kiwi Independent Party.
During this Parliament, Aotearoa and its allies supported the administration of Koska De STRAH and provided the votes needed to implement the "Wellington Land sawp" with Indonesia. It faced little issues during its term.
