Wiki pages should have ad least one image (file) that improves the quality of that page. To help editors navigate and use images correctly, some rules have to be followed. The list of all images can be found in Category:Images.

Guidelines

First and most important is that wiki is not a hosting service. Because of it, we have some guidelines which you should follow when uploading the file.

• Before you upload the image, please check the File list or Category:Images to find is the image already uploaded.
• If an image is not uploaded, please upload it so it can be "easy" to find. The best is to name the image for what it is, using the country name, alliance name, party name, military unit name or keywords so it can be searchable... Depending about what the image is. You should follow the naming and categorization rules which can be found below.
• Do not upload more than one image for the same thing, especially avatars for the same citizen - use re-upload option - visit the image you wish to updatea with new version and click the link below it. Example: File:Menu_my_places.jpg
  • Exceptions:
    • Translated images (images on different language) for Game related articles
    • Citizen avatars. Main avatar + 4 additional avatars. Sysops will delete all avatars which exceed that quota.

Naming

When you are uploading an image, please use standardization in naming them:

• Flags should be updated as Flag-{flag name}.

Example File:Flag-Croatia.jpg

• Coats should be updated as Coat-{coat name}.

Example File:Coat-Uruguay.jpg

• Citizen (User) logos should be updated as Citizen{Citizen ID}.jpg.

Example: File:Citizen1544872.jpg

Note: Additional citizen avatars have to have versions or to be re-uploaded in an existing file;

Examples: File:Citizen1629470 v2.jpg / File:Citizen2009160.jpg

• Maps should be updated as Map-{map name}. There are exceptions, view categories below.
• If you are uploading an image which is an image in non-English language, please add language name at the end... File:Build Rocket (Slovenščina).png
• If you are uploading a decoration image, use following naming policy: File:Decoration_(event name)_(description).png

Examples: File:Decoration aircraft Air commodore gold.png / File:Decoration Founding Father Nigeria.png

• All other images should be updated so that is easy to understand about what the picture is about, avoid random usage of numbers or letters. Try to write an explanation of the image and use category for it.

Categorization

All images require a category and should have only one category. To ease up what category should be one of the following:

• Category:Alliance Logos - all images connected with alliances
• Category:Ball Icons - all ball icons
• Category:Charts - all charts.
• Category:Coat of Arms - all coats. Country and Region coats have subcategories - Category:Region Coat of Arms and Category:Country Coat of Arms
• Category:Company Avatars - all company logos.
• Category:Flags - These are the flags with the naming convention of Flag-{flag name}. National flags are in the category Category:Country Flags.
• Category:Game Icons - all icons connected to the erepublik game play
• Category:Maps - Please add them with naming convention of Map-{map name}. You can add date to it. Exceptions are:
  • Category:Country Maps - Maps of countries. Naming convention is: Country map-{country name}.
  • Category:Region Maps - Maps of regions. Naming convention is: Region-{region name}.
• Category:Military Logos - All images about military units of the New World.
• Category:Newspaper Logos - Newspaper Logos.
• Category:Organization Avatars - Organization logos
• Category:Party Logos - Party Logos
• Category:Screenshots - Screenshots
• Category:User Avatars - Citizen avatars.
• Category:Version1 Images - all obsolete ingame images used in V1.
• Category:Rising Images - all obsolete ingame images used in Rising version of the game.
• Category:War Photos - War images, try to use dates of the pictures taken.
• Category:Localized Images - images in non-English language.
• Category:Decoration Icons - decoration images

At this moment, DO NOT create new categories or subcategories, use one of the mentioned above.

• If you think that additional category should be used, please discuss it in the Bar
