History

DPI was founded by a foreigner, and was originally named India's Libertarians. This brought a lot of hatred towards DPI as many people viewed it as a PTO party. But after the foreigner was given a life sentence, hard working citizens from India worked together to bring DPI up to its current status.

Views

DPI is a Center-Left and Libertarian party. One of the main views DPI stands for is a two-party system. India United, the other political party in India does not believe in a two-party system, but members of DPI believe that a two-party system is healthy for a countries politics and believe strongly in it. That is one of the prominent differences between the parties. DPI also believes that in order for a member to be nominated by them for congress, they have to be active on the DPI Private Forum.
