Volhynia (Ukrainian: Волинь, Volyn’) is a region of Ukraine. The capital of the region is Rivne.

History
Originally a region of Ukraine, Volhynia was annexed by Romania during the Romania-Ukraine War. It was later taken from Romania by Poland. Region was taken by Hungary and handed back to Ukraine.
