October Presidency
On October 5 2013, Alexandre ran for President of Switzerland and went unopposed. Although it was presumably because he was the only candidate, the primary elections leading that month had a record low in voter turn-out with only one vote [1]. Walen came into the presidency right after his predecessor, President Jason Welsh, had signed a Swiss-Slovenian NAP agreement [2]. Due to internal conflict in Slovenia, this agreement was never honored.
On October 19, Walen was credited with the result of the battle for Graubunden known as the Graub-und-Run, due to his successful use of strategy in collecting and organizing Circle of Trust Military Units to fight. After this battle, he proposed an airstrike to Canada, revealing an agreement to rent Alberta he had kept secret even from his cabinet[3].
