Eastern Cape is a South African region often occupied by foreign power. It is heavily contested over due to it's high presence of deer, a scarce and sought after resource in the New World.
The region was strategically retreated to Brazil by South Africa in an attempt to fight off a Hungarian political takeover. The government planned to have the country wiped and back on the map in time for congress elections so that citizenship would be open to all and the country would have time to call for allied support. The plan fell through and the South African government elected to instead sign a contract with the PTO group giving the legit government control over the country's remaining regions.
