The Finnish Independence War was started by Forconin in the region of Eastern Finland. Finland had been a part of Norway since April 21, 2008. Finnish citizens had been chafing under Norwegian rule for some time. During the war Finnish citizens and their allies took Eastern Finland and Southern Finland under their control.

The war was later completed when the reorganized government of Finland took up the cause to gain the other territories, for more information see Finland-Norway War.
