Kadima (קדימה, Forward) was a center-left political party in Israel, founded by Hufflepuff[1]. It had 33 members when it became the Social Democratic Party
Core Beliefs
The main focus of the party was absolute transparency in Israel's government so the people have a clear and concise understanding of the current events as well as future plans. The party believed that without proper communication between Congress members and their constituents, the country loses its stability and the citizens of Israel lose power and security.[2]
Foreign Policy
Kadima's foreign affairs platform involved seeking MPPs with members of EDEN, such as Sweden, Poland, Croatia, and Norway. Kadima was also looking to build relationships with ALA members such as Colombia. On the defense issue, Kadima would support a defense system for the Tel Aviv Center District.
Economic Reforms
Kadima supported higher import taxes on foreign manufactured goods, but low import taxes on all raw materials (excluding grain). Kadima supported government owned industries to provide weapons to the IDF and jobs for new citizens with low skills.
Partnership with Likud
On August 16, 2009, the newly reelected Kadima Party President Alexander Romanov signed a coalition contract with the newly elected Likud Party President Justin Moore. The terms of the coalition contract included coordinating elections, sharing a common forum, and creating a common party platform.
Kadima youth
Kadima youth organization was known as Kadima Kiddies.
