Socrates was a politician in Portugal and one of the oldest players of the eRepublik.
One of the co-founders of Social Democracia Portuguesa (SDP) party, in the past few months he has distanced himself from it due to ideological differences with the majority of the new members, joining Partido Deixa Andar (PDA) for he's second mandate as President and subsequent mandates as congressman until the elections of November 2008.
In March he returned to SDP where he was elected party president.
He has served two terms as president of Portugal and signed the PEACE GC Contract, entering Portugal into the alliance.
