Portugal, officially the Portuguese Republic (Portuguese: República Portuguesa), is a country situated in the Iberian Peninsula. Located in southwestern Europe, Portugal is the westernmost country of mainland Europe and is bordered by the United States, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and Venezuela to the west and by Spain to the north and east. The Atlantic archipelagos of the Azores and Madeira are also part of Portugal.

Language
The official language in Portugal is Portuguese (Português) and Mirandês (Mirandês). English is also a very spoken language among Portuguese. Almost every Portuguese citizen is bilingual and many of it's newspapers include English translation.
Population
According to the December 2008 census. Portuguese population had 1528 Citizens, the most populated city was the capital, Lisboa, with 630 citizens and second goes Norte with 465. Madeira was the least populated city with only 49 citizens.
