Thomas Fairfax was born on day 556 in South East England, one of the regions of the United Kingdom. He left the United Kingdom early in his eLife, moving to the United Netherlands with fellow Englishman Hugo McFartalot searching for better work and better wages.

Swords and Ploughshares

Thomas Fairfax is the founder of the popular United Netherlands newspaper Swords and Ploughshares. The newspaper is frequently amongst the most popular articles in the United Netherlands, and is well known for its extreme libertarian political philosophy and pro-nationalist stance. Swords and Ploughshares' motto and tagline is "a polemical rag of the worst kind".

Libertarian party

Thomas Fairfax was involved in the founding of the Libertarian Party (LP) in its earliest days. He was approached by Mighty Sigh to support the party, and suggested the current name to him, although he did not join initially. Thomas Fairfax became a member of the Libertarian Party (LP) around the time Mighty Sigh left the party, and was elected as Party president of LP in November 2009, on a programme of reform. Thomas Fairfax revived the party after inactivity under previous presidents. He reformed the party, basing his ideas on classical liberal philosophy and democratic principles. Thomas Fairfax publicised the party, attracting new members and displacing the GVD as the fifth biggest party in the United Netherlands assisted by Daniel Parker as his Vice Party president.

Government

Thomas Fairfax has served as Minister for Media and Health, and Secretary of State for Media and Health.
