Don't change it yet MiniBill. It wasn't working in the Sandbox so I'm testing it here. Just give me a day to work it out. -- Mr. Awesome | Talk | 12:18, 26 January 2009 (PST)
- I don't want to war so, ok, but
- Next time use YOUR [omitted] SANDBOX, if it doesn't work there, it won't work in the main namespace
- If a sysop does something (s)he is usually aware of what (s)he does, so if I move a page don't recreate it/move it back without asking why I moved it
- If you want to change a template make a proposition on template's talk page

All I needed was the birth/death rows without "If" statements. -- Mr. Awesome | Talk | 13:17, 26 January 2009 (PST)

Nice. -- Mr. Awesome | Talk | 16:41, 26 January 2009 (PST)
If you don't mind me asking, what is this template for? It seems to be a direct port of {{Citizen}}. Is there something missing that you would like to add? - –Dr. AgentChieftain “PPP!” B / C / D / F / P / S 17:47, 26 January 2009 (PST)
Please review the information here: Help:Common_templates#Changing/Creating Templates. We now have official guidance for templates. --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 19:03, 26 January 2009 (PST)
It is basically a Citizen template, except the order is changed and I added some more features (picture of military rank, newspaper, death/birth locations). -- Mr. Awesome | Talk | 10:23, 27 January 2009 (PST)
If I changed the citizen template directly, I would have pissed off a lot of people, so I am creating a new one. What's wrong with that??? -- Mr. Awesome | Talk | 10:26, 27 January 2009 (PST)
- one of the reasons for having a template is for uniformity across all pages of the same type. Having more than one template for the same type of page defeats the entire purpose of a template. There is no problem with suggesting changes to a template, however it needs to go through a process as stated in an earlier message. --QJ Lincoln Talk To Me 11:12, 27 January 2009 (PST)
