In 2014, the Congressional elections took place on the 25th day of each month and the Congress was inaugurated one day later, on the 26th of each month. Citizens voted for national party lists.

Following are the results of the Congress elections in Norway during 2014.

January

January elections were subject to all parties having their candidates dropped. This was a result of a remnant of the old system where it mattered in which region you ran. Because regions were conquered by the Brits and many people had run from them, it meant that the candidates from these regions were dropped. More than half of all candidates were dropped which has had serious effects on the outcome of the elections and led to Norway having just a five-man Congress, something that is very unusual for any nation.

Even though Bondepartiet was in the top 5 they they had no official Congress candidates after they were dropped due to the region issue.
