Aran Tal is a politician and Political consultant from the eRepublik of Ireland.
Personal History
Aran Tal was born in February 2009 and soon joined the Irish Socialist Republican Party (ISRP) and as a French-speaker was appointed Irish ambassador to France. After a month or so AT traveled to Indonesia to train as a soldier and learn about the outside world and global politics first hand. He is known to have spent time in Hungary, Romania, Indonesia, Iran, Pakistan, Australia, South Africa, France, Italy, Spain, Russia and South Korea. He speaks several languages to a degree of proficiency and has used this ability to negotiate on Ireland's behalf with other nations.
Political History
He returned to Ireland to run for Congress and has been elected four times in succession first in the Mayo, then the Louth. He owns a grain company in Hungary but it is currently inactive. As an expert in Foreign Affairs and Defence he served in various governments as deputy and acting Minister of Defence and deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs. In June 2009 Aran Tal ran Starks Hayter's first campaign for President of Ireland as his running mate and gained election on the second try in July. In that government he served as Minister for Defence and spent a great deal of his time working with world leaders to secure Ireland's security during the third world war.
Frustrated by Starks Hayter's inactivity he recommended that Congress vote yes to Pip Kelly's proposal of Impeachment and announced his support for Nithraldur as interim president. He was re-appointed Vice President in the interim government.
Aran Tal won the ISRP primary election and announced his candidacy for President of Ireland late in July 2009, by virtue of a bug in the election module he was returned with 65% of the vote to office. After a widely respected, but quiet, term, he did not seek re-election to the office after one month.
While on a real-life holiday in mid-September 2009, Aran Tal was inadvertently entered as a candidate in the Irish Social Democrats Party Presidency campaign, and without campaigning at all won in a landslide. Discovering the curious circumstance, he immediately resigned the effective office to Dubhthaigh but stayed on as care-taker president in-game to prevent the post going inactive.
In late October, 2009 AT* left Ireland again on his travels, promising to return again soon. Latest reports place him in Hungary.

The Tal Order is Aran Tal's newspaper which he has used to publish global messages on several points of interest including a campaign for citizenship and war-games status reports while Ireland hosting ATLANTIS war games.
