Ariovistus is an American citizen, living in Maryland, USA. He had previous game play experience dating back as early as December 2008. He joined from an advertisement posted on a News Website, and the game concept was to his liking.
Citizen of Ireland
Ariovistus was born parent-less on October 8th 2009, in Dublin, Ireland. His first contact in his new home was from well wisher and Minister of New Citizens, Edana Savage. Growing up quick, he decided early on that he would follow a career as a Soldier. He joined the Irish Defence Forces, the National Military of Ireland, as a Private and saw his first combat in the PEACE sponsored Latvian-Lithuanian War Games. He became friends with Niall H his superior officer, and with some hard work he was promoted to Chief of Guard in his Reserve Division, during Ireland’s early participation in the Sol sponsored Malaysian-Filipino War Games. During November he fought in a Slovakian Defense Operation and because of his affinity with the job was promoted to Executive Officer in the 9th Regulars Division. During this time he directed combat and supply of mainland European defenses, which included the Czech-Slovak Training Wars. Afterwards, he was selected as a joint-Commanding Officer of the Reserves in late December. Here he made many friends with new incoming recruits, supplying weapons and knowledge of the battlefield.
By January he had reached his first field Command role, that of the Belfast Fusiliers concentrating on personal training in the ongoing Malaysian-Filipino War Games, gaining his first few Battle Hero medals. On the 8th of February he was enlisted into the ranks of the IDF’s elite 'Na Fianna', of which the necessity to join was the Military Rank of Field Marshal. During the following short span of time, he worked tirelessly to refortify his previous history as a Commanding Officer, and was awarded for his efforts. In April he was appointed Commanding Officer of the Na Fianna. His goal of becoming a career Military man reached its panicle at this point.
He led his soldiers into a troubled Norway. Norway had come under the sway of a Serbian political-takeover and the opportunistic United Kingdom invaded. The conflict resulted in a defeat for Prime Minister GLaDOS, and a great purge of the Serbians occurred. Over the course of two hellish Months in Erepublik History he continued his Command, assigned to him by successive Ministers of Defense. Several Battles were fought including the defeat of Liaoning, the biggest battle ever fought in history. Throughout this period of time Ariovistus also searched for Political means of expression. He formed the short lived Jacobite Confederation then reformed it soon after to the Capitalist Party of Ireland, he served primarily as a Party President. On the 6th of January 2010, he established the political entity - Clann na nGael. He served as a Party President and through co-operation with the Irish Freedom Party he won three seats in the Dáil Éireann, or Irish Congress.
He fell ill on June 30th 2010, returning to better health in mid-October 2010. His illness broke his most early streak in Hard Worker medals, which was a lot of work. He re-assumed a role as combatant in the Na Fianna and for the IDF in general, participating in Allied Defense. Things had changed drastically for the worse by this time. While he was away several thefts of state had occurred and many of his former friends had died or migrated away from Ireland altogether.
In November Taoiseach orangejuicemmm, a well known member of the Irish Citizen Army, destroyed many of the IDF’s companies, created two resistance wars in friendly colonies, and was impeached. Under the pressures of British attacks and government irresponsibility towards the IDF, Ireland fell to the British on December 7th, 2010. However, earlier that day this citizen initiated his first Resistance War, which was ultimately successful. On the eve of the successful resistance war of Dublin against the forces of the United Kingdom he founded a brand new party for a New Ireland called the Popular Liberation Front, later reforming its thesis to the Fenian Brotherhood. He served several times in Congress, held a Minister of State appointment during CelticTiger211's Presidential term, and soon decided to run back to back campaigns for Taoiseach.
In March during the Impeachment of 05637716, he was given the authority of President. As Taoiseach, Ariovistus began to see the world in a larger view from this most high of positions. He became fixated with the defense of EDEN and its relationship with the new alliance Terra. After completing his term in office with little or no malaise's, he decided to explore the world, so long a centrist to Irish affairs. A year and five months had past into apathy with Ireland as it stood, so he looked westward.
Citizen of the USA
Ariovistus traveled to the USA to seek opportunity and a new future. He became a citizen on April 10th, 2011. With his former experience he quickly joined the United States Armed Forces and participated in Defensive Operations against ONE and the belligerence of Spain. He was recruited into a newly formed ‘Special Forces’ division, carrying out several duties World-wide in defense of both EDEN and Terra aligned nations. By June 2011 he was chosen to be a Company Commander in the Special Forces, heading a Team of Euro-zone Soldiers. Over the course of this conflict the United States, even with Allied support, couldn't effectively quell a large scale Spanish invasion of the interior. After a short time Spain called for support from all of her opportune Allies, as America was successful enough in localized Resistance battles to make their invasion difficult to complete in a timely manner. Things quickly looked grim for the USA when Poland, Indonesia, and Hungary made their advances known in Mid-to-late June 2011.
On June 30th 2011 Indonesia took the last remaining region of the USA, Hawaii, wiping the USA for a short time from the map. At the same time Brazil and several remaining allies were also hard pressed. Serbia, during their Campaigns in China, gained a short lived boarder with the United States and invaded in earnest to capture Texas. After continuing to fight in localized Resistance, Ariovistus started a successful rebellion in Hawaii. On August 6th, Ariovistus accepted to become an Executive Officer for the Special Forces and was promoted to Lieutenant General.
In early September Ariovistus retired from the Special Forces Leadership, taking on all the duties reserved for a retired Senior Officer. There after he began to concentrate on Politics and solidified his membership in the Libertarian Party. With his Party's support he gained two back-to-back seats in the US Congress, but nearing the end of his second term he began to see his Party falling out of activity and interest. This is when he searched for more in the game and started to practice Dioism, referring to himself as such, though he had not undergone any formal Virginization during his lifetime.
Economy
Ariovistus owns several companies that he has often ignored. He aims to run his businesses once he decides that his complete retirement is at hand.
Media
Ariovistus has spent a great deal of his time writing articles in the past, but he often reshuffled then deleted content as he went. Most of his literary career was spent whilst he was in Ireland and of that most of the time he dabbled in Political Manifests, with a healthy dedication to Warfare analysis. He plans to keep the articles on the topics that he finds himself most involved with at the given time, be it Economic, Military, or Politics. He received his Media Mogul through the help of Organization accounts in Version 1 of eRepublik. Ariovistus tends to refer to himself as a avid speaker and not a noted writer.
Government
Ariovistus was a two time Deputy in the Ministry of New Citizens, one time Minister to the Department of State, and once due to impeachment held the President duty in Ireland. He has been a Deputy Secretary of Defense in the USA.
